I'm Kimberly. I was born in Trinidad, left at a young age and grew up in South Jersey. For undergrad, I decided to take a chance at school in Madrid, Spain which turned out to be more than a reward but a life changing experience. Only leading to more life changing experiences including visiting Ethiopia after my sophomore year of schooling before returning to the states to finish up undergrad schooling to become a nurse. I currently work as a nurse in Syracuse, NY and it has given me much more than I could ask for in terms of a career, flexibility, and the ability to move and travel. Thus, I'm expanding. I finished my Masters earlier in 2013 in Disaster Medicine Management and took a trip to Haiti to volunteer and get my feet wet. Now, I am seeking more international development experience. Hence, why I am in Kenya to oversee the opening of the Rescue Center a privilege provided by Mama Hope from January 2014- June 2014.
